Who We Are

True Hope Foundation International is a Christian, non-denominational, non-profit organization devoted to spreading the love of Christ through faith-driven initiatives that serve communities both locally and globally. As a faith-based organization, we are inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ, embracing biblical principles of compassion, love, and service to uplift those in need, regardless of background, race, or denomination.

Our Mission

True Hope Foundation International exists to combat human trafficking by rescuing and restoring survivors, preventing exploitation through education and poverty alleviation, and sharing the love of Christ in practical, life-changing ways. We provide safe spaces, trauma-informed care, and empowerment programs that give vulnerable individuals a second chance at life. With your support, we bring hope where it’s needed most.

Our Vision

We envision a world where no life is trapped by human trafficking, where every survivor is free, fully healed, and empowered to build a future of dignity and purpose. Through love, restoration, and opportunity, we strive to turn pain into strength and vulnerability into victory.

Our Vision for the Future As we move forward, True Hope Foundation International envisions a world where every person has access to the basic necessities of life, where hope is alive in even the darkest corners, and where the love of Christ is the foundation for true transformation. Our long-term goal is to see communities not only survive but thrive, as they experience both spiritual renewal and socio-economic progress. We are committed to pursuing this vision with integrity, humility, and a steadfast faith in God’s provision. True Hope Foundation International is more than just an organization, it’s a movement. A movement of believers united in their mission to serve, love, and bring the gospel to a world that desperately needs hope. We invite you to be part of this movement, as together we impact lives and spread God’s love across the globe. At the True Hope Foundation, we work to eliminate child and human trafficking and empower its survivors to heal, hopefully making it become history through the care we provide for them. We endeavor to build a world where all individuals are free from the shackles of exploitation and oppression. Our actions embody the principles of justice, compassion, ethical behavior, and human rights, as we work to end the exploitation of individuals and communities affected by human trafficking in Sierra Leone. At The True Hope Foundation, we strongly believe in making people's lives better, especially the vulnerable and disadvantaged population, through our poverty alleviation programs, as there is a direct correlation between human trafficking and poverty. Vulnerable populations, often live in poverty-stricken areas, are more susceptible to exploitation and trafficking, due to factors such as lack of education, limited economic opportunities and desperation for basic needs. Economic empowerment initiatives can help mitigate this risk by providing alternative livelihoods and resources to at risk communities. That is why we have decided to make this one of our main pillars in our organization.

The True Hope Foundation started with an experience I had when travelling to Sierra Leone on the 7th of February 2024. Though I consider it to be a calling due to the occurrences or coincidences, I met a gentleman on an airplane who happened to be a Sierra Leonean, who was also traveling to Sierra Leone. At the stop in Burkina Faso, He asked if he could sit by me, and I said of course. In the depth of the conversation, he got to tell me that he is a survivor of human trafficking. He took his time to tell me his experience and ordeal that by the time we were landing at the Lungi International Airport, my mind was completely blown, and I was in tears deep down inside. Something I did that I will never forget or regret was to grab the golden opportunity, not just to help him financially and morally on that day, I made sure I took his contact to follow up on his well-being.

Today we are one family. He does not allow a day to go by without checking on me. For me, that was a great opportunity to bless someone and be blessed in return. I am forever grateful to God for giving me that opportunity, and I am also glad that I did not miss it. Today his life has completely changed for the better and that encounter, or experience, was a total game changer, not just for me, but for all those who love and care for humanity. Today I am proud to say that the True Hope Foundation has dozens of vibrant, dedicated, passionate, and skilled members all over the globe, with a mission sprouting from that one agonizing, yet priceless experience. We are fighting to see that every child and adults who have been trafficked can experience a powerful transformation in his or her life. We seek to make sure these survivors get free medical help, education, food, clothing, good communities, families, and access to basic needs, like clean water, accommodation, and psychosocial support. We ensure a safe environment for survivors of human trafficking to live in with emotional support until they can thrive and be fully ready to move forward with their lives. Our plan is to fully address the root causes of this heinous crime to the best of our ability collaboratively through our intervention and poverty alleviation programs. We will be joining our heads together to combat human trafficking and eradicate poverty in Sierra Leone and beyond, working with sister organizations, stakeholders and partners in this same space and in the fight. I’d like to take this opportunity to ask you kindly to join us in this fight to put an end to child/human trafficking in our global community for good.

  • We strongly believe in making people's lives better especially the vulnerable and disadvantaged population through our poverty alleviation programs as it is proven that there is a direct correlation between human trafficking and poverty.

  • Vulnerable population often found in poverty-stricken areas are more susceptible to exploitation and trafficking due to factors such as lack of education, limited economic opportunities and desperation for basic needs.

  • Poverty can push individuals into situations where they are more easily manipulated and coerced into trafficking in schemes.

  • Economic empowerment initiatives can help mitigate this risk by providing alternative livelihoods and resources to at risk communities.

  • There is no shadow of doubt that poverty is a root cause of human trafficking as it makes individuals vulnerable to traffickers who use poverty as a weapon and a means to control their victims. Even after trafficking survivors escape, poverty continues to plague their lives.

  • That is why we have decided to make this one of our main pillars in our organization.
